Experience has shown us that the best bike for these trails is a Honda XR 400. Not only are they easy to manouever along small narrow tracks, but they also allow for great speed and power in the higher gears out on the more open wide roads. Their sturdiness and toughness are ideally suited to the inhospitable environment of the Patagonian desert.
Depending on the tour we sometimes replace the original fuel tank with a larger one which will enable us to go further without refuelling on the long stretches of un-inhabited terrain. This is the only modification done on the bikes. The rest is original.
Their most important attribute is their reliability, indeed we consider a Honda XR 400 to be the most reliable bike in Argentina. They rarely, if ever, break down and their simple but efficient mechanics enables us to rapidly repair any breaks, bashes or punctures.

We ensure that all the equipment is in good condition and thoroughly clean. You are welcome to bring your own equipment should you prefer.
